The community of La Grange, Illinois, is mourning the loss of Kelly Peaurt, a dedicated coach, sports therapist, and beloved member of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO). Kelly, who served as the Club Administrator at AYSO 300 United, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of passion, dedication, and community service.
Kelly was more than just a coach—he was a global sports ambassador. Over the years, he proudly coached soccer in four different countries: England, Cyprus, Mexico, and the United States. His international experience reflected his deep love for the game and his desire to share that passion across borders. His coaching style was characterized by his commitment to developing young athletes both on and off the field, inspiring countless players to reach their potential.
In addition to coaching, Kelly was a skilled sports therapist. He worked closely with the Masters Team GB Rollerhockey team during the World Championships, providing injury rehabilitation, rinkside first aid, injury prevention, and taping services. His expertise took him across Europe and to various tournaments, including events in the Czech Republic, Italy, and France, where he supported international teams with his knowledge and care.
Kelly also had a strong entrepreneurial spirit. He established and managed his own high school soccer program for AYSO 418, which is the second-largest region in America. His program continues to thrive, reflecting his dedication to youth development and his desire to foster a love for soccer in young players.
Beyond his professional achievements, Kelly was known for his warm personality and his willingness to give back to his community. Whether coaching, providing sports therapy, or simply sharing a friendly word at the local bar where he bartended, Kelly touched many lives with his kindness and enthusiasm.
His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his legacy endures through the programs he built, the teams he mentored, and the community he loved. Kelly Peaurt’s life was a testament to the power of sport to inspire, heal, and bring people together.
