The accident occurred at approximately 3:14 a.m. on December 3, according to a report released by the Cambridge Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Miller had been traveling westbound on Interstate 70 near mile post 174 when his Chevrolet Silverado veered off the right side of the roadway under circumstances that remain under investigation. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle struck a bridge railing with significant force. The impact caused the truck to overturn, continuing its path until it collided with a nearby embankment. Emergency responders pronounced Miller deceased at the scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol noted that several local agencies responded quickly, working together through the early-morning hours. Units from New Concord Fire and EMS, Cassel Station Fire and EMS, the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office, and the Ohio Department of Transportation all assisted with the emergency response, scene management, and road safety measures.
